Our History

 

In 1994 our founder, Annette Wright, began Unity Cable & Electric Corporation in the basement of her childhood home in Toledo, Ohio.  The firm provided Electrical Contracting Services and managed General Construction Projects for municipal, state and Federal clients including the Ohio Department of Transportation, Toledo Public Schools, and the Department of Housing and Urban Development. 

 

In 1999, Unity Cable & Electric Corporation became Unity Cable Technologies after securing an impressive number of contracts within the growing "DotComm" era.

Unity began supplying Communication and Data equipment in conjunction with installation services.  Soon, opportunities began to emerge within the Department of Defense markets that sought experienced contractors and vendors with the type of expertise, enthusiasm and dedication that is commensurate with Unity's philosphy.

 

With a support team that  includes U.S. Veterans from the Vietnam, Persuian Gulf, and Iraq Wars, Unity became dedicated and focused upon supporting the World's Greatest Military.

Today we are known as Unity Defense Systems.  Our goal, and our honor, is to provide the very best equipment, material, supplies and services to the men and women who make our freedom possible. 

 

Are we perfect?  Nope. But we know the One who is.
